THE NATURAL CONDITION

For this project, I wanted to show the idea of angst via symbolism in nature scenes. I aimed to reveal this concept by concern for elements of light and dark; contrasts between life and death; the fight for liberation versus fear itself. To convey the ‘depressing’ aspect of the images, I have decided to show them with desaturated colour tones, deliberately dull to not only to state the mood of them but also to highlight a glimmer of hope (with the presence of colour).
